the heart broken, again

The /suffocating/ feeling

throat clenching sort of emotion

the exhilarating, devastating

/inability to fill your lungs with oxygen/

experience of reading a heart/breaking/ piece of prose.

The chill bumps

all-consuming wave of empathy

of rage

yanked unexpectantly /from you/

forcing /you/

to understand the entirety of the human experience.

The quiet moment

time to digest

reflect

/accept/

and then the moment after where the words need to be /read again/

And the /heart broken/

again.
