when something else calls for an MRI
one of the sides effects
is a ringing in my right ear
that makes it hard to hear
it doesn’t stop me
from thinking far too much
about things beyond my control
some wear their heart on their sleeve
mine is in my ear
the beat drowning out everything else
well
almost everything
